A stunning example of its type, this Shahsewan Sumak bagface dates back to the 1900’s.

Hand woven wool on wool containing interesting and intricate detailing, rich in colour derived from vegetable dyes.

In good condition, please note that the original backing (shown in last photo) can be removed should you wish, and can be used traditionally or domestically.

With all our handmade rugs, we recommend using a non-slip underlay, whether it will be placed on hard flooring or on wall to wall carpet, to stop the rug moving about. This can be purchased from us for £25 per linear meter (width 180cm)
