A mesmerizing Turkish Kula made in 1945.

Made from lovely natural wool on a wool foundation this Kula is very soft and thick and is fantastically drawn. This wonderful piece is a so called ‘komurcu’ which means coal man, the field set in black.

This rug is signed with the date it was made which is 1945, notice that with the small spots of cream colour throughout which highlights the most stunning naturally derived colours. The blue in this antique rug are just amazing, a rare bold electric blue, all created from vegetable dyes.

In fantastic condition this pretty Turkish Kula is suitable for normal domestic use.

With all our handmade rugs, we recommend using a non-slip underlay, whether it will be placed on hard flooring or on wall to wall carpet, to stop the rug moving about. This can be purchased from us for £25 per linear meter (width 180cm)
