This stunning Daghestan carpet dates back to the late 1800’s.

A wonderfully drawn rug with an interesting prayer rug design, filled with lovely colourful botehs which stand brilliantly against the dark field. It has a beautiful floral border on an ivory background which frames this pretty antique rug perfectly.

The magnificent deep rich colours are derived from all vegetable dyes, laid on a wonderful natural wool on wool foundation. Lustrous and soft and in fantastic condition this lovely Caucasian Daghestan is suitable for normal domestic use.

With all our handmade rugs, we recommend using a non-slip underlay, whether it will be placed on hard flooring or on wall to wall carpet, to stop the rug moving about. This can be purchased from us for £25 per linear meter (width 180cm)
